Kevin Spacey won a Golden Globe for his performance in House of Cards.
Gina Rodriguez won a Golden Globe for Best Actress at the 2015 awards ceremony.

Latina actress Gina Rodriguez star of TV show Jane The Virgen accepts her award for Best Actress in a Television Series or Comedy.

I’m a huge fan of television. There simply aren’t enough hours in a week, month, or year to get through all the shows I’d love to watch.

The summer and holidays are great times to play catch up and binge watch everything you normally can’t. That’s also why I love award season; it’s a time to see what worthy shows you’ve been missing out on. I’m extremely excited for some of the winners of TV this week at the Golden Globes.

Amazon’s Transparent won the award for best TV comedy. Jeffrey Tambor, who we all know and love from Arrested Development, won his first Golden Globe award for best actor in a TV comedy for his role of a transgender woman in Transparent. I’ll be catching up on this show very soon.

TV show transparent was a big winner at this year's Golden Globes.

Amazon original series Transparent was a winner at the 2015 Golden Globes.

Gina Rodriguez takes home her first win for her role in Jane the Virgin. So proud of her! She took home the award for best actress in a TV comedy. The Chicagoan of Puerto Rican parents was shocked by the win, but went on to thank her bosses, cast members, and family.

She said, “My father used to tell me to say every morning: ‘Today is going to be a great day. I can and I will.’ Well, Dad. Today is a great day. I can and I did.”

I’ve read some of her interviews and she’s truly an artist with a great support system. She deserves this!

Kevin Spacey finally wins for his role as Frank Underwood in House of Cards. I just started watching this Netflix original a few weeks ago, over the holidays. Great show! Took me a while to get into it, but sometimes the really good shows are the ones you need to be patient with.

Kevin Spacey won a Golden Globe for his performance in House of Cards.

Veteran actor Kevin Spacey won a Golden Globe for his performance in Netflix original series House of Cards.

He accepted the award by first saying, “This is just the beginning of my revenge,” which was very Frank Underwood of him. Congratulations, Kevin!

Congratulations, to all the shows and talent nominated this season! You’re all winners in my book. Whose win were you excited about?
