The Valentine’s Day Look You Can’t Go Wrong With
Whether your Valentine’s Day celebration is a date, girls night, or Netflix binge your makeup should stand out on the most romantic day of the year. Instead of going too gimmicky with red and pink here’s a chic Valentine’s Day look, featuring pops of color.
Purple and yellow are complementary shades, using them together creates a bold look that’s cohesive. Using a loose copper pigment wet gives a metallic look to the eyes that will catch the light in dimly lit places. (And that’s exactly what we want to achieve with this Valentine’s Day look…)
The lilac lipstick I chose is muted enough so that it’s wearable while still being a refreshing change from the norm, a purple blush ties the lilac lips in and adds the finishing touch to the look.
Experiment with different shades of purple to see what works best for your skin tone and remember to be careful with milkier purples because they have a higher chance of bringing out any yellows on your teeth. I suggest going for a cool, mid-tone berry to avoid this.
For an even sexier Valentine’s Day look throw a matte black into the crease of your eye and along the lower lash line.
