Maffio, Farruko, Akon and Ky-Mani Marley collaborate for ‘Celebration’ single.

One of reggaetons well-known music producers Maffio has teamed up with Farruko, Akon and Ky-Mani Marley for his most personal production yet, ‘Celebration’.

The song was inspired by Maffio’s late sister Katherine Mendoza, who tragically lost her life in a fire. This feel-good, reggae melody and it’s Spanglish lyrics celebrates life and those we’ve lost.

For the first time Maffio Co-Directed the music video alongside friend Javier Romero-Director and Executive producer at Black Flamingo Films.

In the music video Maffio uses red carnations, his sister’s favorite flower, as a symbol of reincarnation. ‘Celebration’ is a reflection for us to START living life because we’ve only got one life to live. Like the song says

“Live love and be strong
Memories gonna live on
Not here but not gone
No, life still goes on”

Check out our EXCLUSIVE BTS of the making of the video.

“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves memories no one can steal” -unknown
