Its official the long anticipated Lollapalooza schedule release for music festival lovers and modern hipster hippies has been announced!
The festival will take place August 1st through the 3rd at Chicago’s Grant Park.
According to Pitchfork.com , The headliners will include Eminem, OutKast, Arctic Monkeys, Skrillex, Kings of Leon, and Calvin Harris. The stage is set for it to be an awesome three days and being that it is a few months away their is still time to get your itinerary in place.
As usual with large festivals such as this their will be some big names that overlap. This will force you into making a seriously difficult decision of which stage and artist you are going to see.
For example on Friday, August 1st Eminem and Arctic Monkeys will play headlining sets at the same time overlapping with Phantogram. Also playing at the same time will be Lorde on one stage and Broken Bells on another as are Blood Orange and Interpol.
The overlapping for Saturday begins with headlining sets from OutKast and Calvin Harris, who also overlap with Cut Copy.
On Sunday the festival has simultaneously overlapping sets from Darkside, Chance the Rapper, Kings of Leon, and Skrillex.
There will also be an area called ChowTown which features over 30 premier local food vendors serving unique, “Chicago fare” all day long. For those with dietary restrictions their will be a Farmers Market which will provide locally-sourced festival fare to suite more conscious cravings.
Hopefully you have already purchased your tickets for this event because most of the single day and multi-day ticket packages are already sold out. Currently all that is left is the travel packages and the Platinum tickets, which includes everything but the kitchen sink. Essentially it grants you the most access during the weekend.
