For more than a decade, the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, in Downtown Miami, has brought the best of flamenco to the Magic City. This year’s event was bigger and better: more flamenco, more passion, more olé!
Festival goers at the Arsht enjoyed the magic of the “Ballet Nacional de España” (National Ballet of Spain) directed by Antonio Najarro from March 8th- 10th and now, you can too, watch our video below as Press Pass Latino reporter Maria Fernanda Viera takes you behind-the-scenes on the red carpet at Flamenco Fest’s opening night:
Latino entertainment personalities like Univision’s Primer Impacto host Borja Voces, Despierta América host “Colate, Telemundo news anchor Felicidad Aveleyra, Pop Duo Domino Saints, and “Despacito” songwriter Erika Ender, among many others, spoke to us about their experiences at Flamenco Fest 2018. And some even tried their luck at replicating some of the dance moves they saw on stage!
And though, they may not have been on par with the stars of the night, the ‘bailaoras’, one thing is for sure: there was no shortage of talent, on and off stage, at this year’s Flamenco Fest. We can’t wait for next year’s!
