Puerto Rican Reggaeton star Farruko is working towards making the Anglo market fall in love with his music and has recently started incorporating lyrics in English to several songs on his new album “Visionary”. He’s also spoken of his hopes of possible future collaborations with artists such as Chris Brown and Kanye West.
Meanwhile, multinational telecommunications corporation AT&T also has a similar goal in mind, theirs is to woo Latinos with the creation of social media accounts for AT&T Latino and rewards program, AT&T Vive Mas, in which users are told “Vive Mas con AT&T Latino to win exclusive prizes.”

So, it’s only fitting that AT&T would enlist Farruko to form part of AT&T Vive Mas’ celebrity Q&A’s, in which they invite a crowd of the company’s customers as well as devoted Reggaeton fans to take part in an exclusive private event. (Reggaeton artist Wisin has also participated in an AT&T Vive Mas Q&A)
“I’m super happy with the initiative AT&T Latino has taken to unite fans with their favorite artists, so they can meet them, ask them whatever they want to, listen to them sing live,” said the 23-year-old Reggaeton singer and rapper.
“At a regular concert, because of logistics, it’s nearly impossible to get close to your favorite singer or spend any type of time with them, yeah you can hear them singing but here you can see them from up close, talk to them, take a lot of photos, even selfies! So, I find it to be super innovative and I love it.”

Of his own experience as a fan, Farruko says he went to a Ricardo Arjona concert in Puerto Rico but had no luck getting close to his favorite artist.
“Maybe AT&T can help me!,” he laughs and half jokes he’d love being able to meet Kim Kardashian and of course, Kanye West.
Farruko also serenaded his fans with a live version of “Lejos de Aqui” and answered questions from attendees as well as some fans watching via live stream.
Farruko is set to perform his hit “Sunset” alongside Shaggy on Thursday, October 7th at the Latin American Music Awards which will air on Telemundo.
