Mexican actor Eugenio Derbez is a jack of all trades. The director, writer and producer, who is best known for the television series Al Derecho y Al Derbez, and for his most recent feature film Instructions Not Included plays Dr. Nurko in the new upcoming movie Miracles from Heaven from Columbia Pictures.

In the Miracles from Heaven, Dr. Nurko (Eugenio Derbez) is left in awe when he meets 10-year-old Ally Beam; a little girl who he diagnosed with a rare, incurable disease.

When Christy Beam, played by (Jennifer Garner) is told by Dr. Nurko that he doesn’t have answers to her questions and can’t offer medical solutions to her daughter’s illness, she decides to take matters into her own hands.
Beam quickly becomes an advocate, seeking a cure for her daughter’s rare disease.
However, soon after Ally suffers a freak accident and is “miraculously” healed. Dr. Nurko (Eugenio Derbez) is left mystified as to what caused her sudden cure.
Without a clear medical explanation, Dr. Nurko (Eugenio Derbez) and Christy (Jennifer Garner) have reasons to believe young Ally’s healing is a miracle from above. The 1-Hour and 49-minute Christian drama is based on a true story.
Miracles from Heaven is in theaters nationwide, March 16th. We can’t wait to see Eugenio Derbez as Dr. Nurko in this film, out next Wednesday!
