Director Marc Webb’s “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” comes jam-packed with two times the action, villains and quirky yet passionate love scenes than the first movie did.
British actor Andrew Garfield, America’s Sweetheart Emma Stone and the talented Dane DeHaan, co-starred in the film and spoke to Press Pass Latino’s Daysi Calavia-Robertson about what it was like shooting the flick.

Garfield and Stone dished on their on-screen flirting and the natural chemistry between them which helped them make the scenes feel that much more real for the audience.
The fact that the two have been rumored to be a couple since 2010 after meeting on the set of “The Amazing Spider-Man” is something Garfield and Stone are experts at ignoring.
“The writers already knew the dynamic that Gwen [Gwen Stacey] and Peter [Peter Parker] had and so a lot of the small details in the flirtatious scenes were in the script but a lot of it was also improvised by us,” said Stone.

“So much of it was a mixture of both,” added Stone. “It took a lot of playing around as actors.”
Though Andrew Garfield may like playing around he doesn’t like giving much of the storyline away, he does admit however, that “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” holds many pivotal moments in comic book history and is sure audiences will react.
“I think you have to honor the heaviness and the reality of what it’s like [in this movie] for Peter,” said Garfield.
“In a sense what is left behind is realizing that every moment should be treated as if it’s your last.”

Actor Dane DeHaan, who plays Harry Osborn, agrees with his Garfield and though DeHaan has played a villain before he says it’s not being bad what draws him to the characters.
“I’ve played a variety of different roles in my career,” he said.
“What’s important to me is to play complicated people and to try to flesh them out as human beings.”
For DeHaan, the complication of the journey of the characters he plays is what truly excites him as an actor.
“The Amazing Spider-Man 2” hit theaters nationwide Friday, May, 2nd.
