Artist On The Rise Alaya Releases New Single Tócamelo Ft. Zion Y Lennox
Meet Billboard’s Latin Artist on The Rise: Alaya. The Venezuelan pop-star whose claim to fame was starring in YouTube videos is delighting audiences off-line with her latest single, Tócamelo.
And though she might be a newbie to the Latin pop music scene, we’re already big fans, the song which features two of Reggaeton’s Old G’s, Zion y Lennox has tremendo flow. Press Pass Latino reporter Jackie Diaz caught up with Alaya, who dished on Tócamelo’s sensual new music video, her fave 90s fashion idols, and what it was like to collaborate with La Z y la L.
Tócamelo, the prelude to Alaya’s debut album set for release later this year, displays a fusion of Hip-Hop, Reggaeton, and Pop — and was with made by one heck of a powerhouse production team including acclaimed music producer Sebastián Jácome, who has worked on hits for superstars Enrique Iglesias and Gloria Trevi, and four-time Grammy Award nominee music video director, Pablo Croce.
Not surprisingly, the music video for Alaya’s debut single has already surpassed 9 million views on YouTube. But if you’re reading this on the job, wait till you get home to watch — it’s totally NSFW.
Let’s just say, it’s Alaya like you never seen her before.
