Aislinn Derbez must get her natural acting abilities and sense of comedic timing from her father, famous funnyman Eugenio Derbez.

The 27-year-old, who has participated in several Spanish-language television series such as Mujeres Asesinas, Niñas mal and La Familia P.Luche, is starring in Liongate’s romantic comedy “A La Mala” alongside her real-life boyfriend, Mexican actor Mauricio Ochmann.

Aislinn Derbez started her career when she was 15-years-old. She moved to New York for three years and worked as a model and visual and performing artist but her end goal was to follow her father’s footsteps and make movies.

After a rigorous casting period and despite talent-heavy auditions, Aislinn Derbez, Mauricio Ochmann, Aurora Papile, Luis Arrieta, Daniela Schmidt and Juan Diego Covarrubias, were selected for the cast because of the incredible on-scene energy they brought forth and chemistry they had with each other.

The “A La Mala” film was shot last April in a variety of locations throughout Mexico City. Sets for the movie included everything from an abandoned building to the prestigious Bosque de las Lomas hotel.

Testing fidelity quickly becomes Maria Laura’s profitable new side gig. She’s hired by countless women across the city anxious to find out if their boyfriend’s are being loyal to them or not.
