Singer-songwriter Christian Daniel has been working in the music industry for the past 12 years. He moved to South Florida from his homeland about a decade ago to chase his dream of pursuing a singing career.
Now, three albums later he opens up to Press Pass Latino about five things you don’t know about him.
1. He’s half Cuban
Though he was born in Puerto Rico, Christian Daniel’s father is from Pinar del Rio, Cuba. He’s never visited Cuba or his father’s hometown but says he would love to do so one day. Christian Daniel also said he feels proud of his Cuban roots and proud to have Cuban blood.
2. He moved to Miami eight years ago
Christian Daniel moved to Miami from Puerto Rico eight years ago to pursue his singing career. He’s been taking singing lessons, working on developing his sound and perfecting performance style ever since. Now, he considers Miami his second home.
3. He was the first artist signed to Bad Boy Latino
Christian Daniel was the original Bad Boy Latino! He was the first recording artist signed to Emilio Estefan and P. Diddy’s (known as Puff Daddy at the time) record label Bad Boy Latino. It was an exciting start for Christian Daniel who is now an independent artist. Since the time of his signing back in 2005 a lot has changed in Christian Daniel’s career. He’s packing a punch with a whole new look and a brand new studio production: Renacer.
4. “Renacer” is his third studio production but the first featuring songs he wrote
Christian Daniel has released three prior studio productions but his latest album titled “Renacer” meaning “Rebirth” symbolizes his rebirth as a recording artist. Most of the songs are autobiographical and were penned by him. His song “Ocho Pisos” talks about an ex girlfriend who cheated on him with a man who lived in an apartment eight floors above theirs. Ouch!
5. He’s not only a singer-songwriter, he also has acting chops
Christian Daniel hasn’t only been working on his singing career, he’s also been developing his career as an actor. He’s taken up several roles in Telemundo’s Spanish language telenovelas. He’s participated in the network’s “Santa Diabla” and “El Fantasma de Elena”.
